The Cologne University Foundation
We promote excellent education, innovative research, and sustainable development at the University of Cologne
The Cologne University Foundation was established in 2019 and has already made a significant impact since then. In June 2023, our first flagship project went into operation: the InnoDom Cologne Startup Center. While this center was under construction, we provided financial support for other projects—such as aid for Ukraine, the CeMIT Virtual Reality Lab, and the 9th European Conference on African Studies. These selected examples demonstrate that we support all academic departments. It is important to us that our funding benefits as many students and researchers as possible at the University of Cologne.
Small foundation. Big impact.
One advantage of the University of Cologne Foundation is our manageable size. In the case of aid for Ukraine and the construction of InnoDom Cologne, for example, we were able to act quickly and flexibly thanks to our short decision-making processes. This allowed us to achieve a great deal in a short time. For you, this also means that your contributions can have the greatest possible impact on the projects we support.
