The Cologne University Foundation has provided 15,000 euros in support of the work of the Refugee Law Clinic Cologne. The Refugee Law Clinic offers free legal advice to asylum seekers. The organisation currently has around 500 members and is run by the students themselves. In this way, the students not only help people in need, but also gain valuable practical experience and practical knowledge of immigration and asylum law.
The Refugee Law Clinic is a non-profit association affiliated with the Institute of International Law at the University of Cologne. Each semester, around 100 students take part in the training programme to become advisory members, which comprises weekly lectures, tutorials and specialist training sessions.
The funding we provide enables the Refugee Law Clinic to continue its important work to its usual high standard.
