What used to be a small kiosk is now a place for focused work, spontaneous encounters, and short breaks between lectures and deadlines: With the new PhilLounge, the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Cologne has created a modern space that enriches the daily university life of many students.
The open layout, flexible seating options, and quiet atmosphere create ideal conditions for studying, exchanging ideas, and taking a breather. At the same time, the PhilLounge blends harmoniously into the faculty’s existing learning zone concept and sensibly expands the range of spaces available on campus.
The project was made possible by a “Technical Equipment” grant from the University of Cologne Foundation. We are pleased to be able to contribute to a vibrant and supportive learning environment for students.
