On February 9, 2026, the festive awards ceremony for the “2025 Award for Exemplary Buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia” took place at K21 – Art Collection of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf. The award is presented every five years by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Local Government, Construction, and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in cooperation with the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects.
The InnoDom Cologne, commissioned by the Cologne University Foundation, was honored as one of a total of 25 projects from North Rhine-Westphalia. An independent jury recognized buildings that stand out in a special way for their quality, character, and impact.
The Cologne University Foundation is delighted that the InnoDom has received this recognition. The InnoDom thus serves as a prime example of modern yet timeless architecture that supports exchange, innovation, and new ways of working.
