With support from the University of Cologne Foundation, the first Executive Dialogue was held at the University of Cologne on April 3 and 4, 2025. The goal of this new event format is to strengthen dialogue between cutting-edge research, business practice, and politics—on topics that shape our society.
Around 30 high-level participants discussed current challenges such as the shortage of skilled workers and the future of healthy work environments. Insights were provided, among others, by the ECONtribute and CECAD Clusters of Excellence, which the guests visited.
The event was opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Joybrato Mukherjee, who emphasized: “With the Executive Dialogue, the University of Cologne has created a forward-looking platform for top decision-makers from business and politics.”
The Executive Dialogue is set to take place regularly in the future—as a platform for exchange, inspiration, and new connections between academia and society.
