Faculty Club of the University of Cologne

The Faculty Club is a new initiative at the University of Cologne, launched by the Cologne University Foundation. Its goal is to create a space for cross-faculty exchange—one that is open, informal, and inspiring.

Here, researchers, faculty members, university administrators, and representatives of the local community come together—in a setting that fosters personal conversations and new perspectives. In a pleasant atmosphere, we hope to engage in conversation over finger food and drinks.

The Faculty Club sparks new ideas, builds connections, and invites everyone to think together about the future of the university.

Faculty clubs have a long tradition at many international universities: They serve as meeting places for professors, researchers, and other university members to network informally and develop new ideas together—outside of committees or official events. The University of Cologne is now adopting this proven model in its own unique way for the first time.

The Faculty Club is primarily intended for professors at the University of Cologne, as well as research staff and university administrators.

It is precisely this mix that makes the Faculty Club so special: here, people from different disciplines and with different perspectives come together—openly, as equals, and without a set agenda.

Interested individuals from the business, political, cultural, or civic sectors are warmly welcome. Guests are also welcome to join.

The Faculty Club meets weekly during the semester.

Always on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. 

The venue is the Innodom Cologne, in the Yellow Like-It.

InnoDom Cologne is a modern workspace and meeting place located right next to the University of Cologne—initiated and built by the Cologne University Foundation.

It offers startups and young entrepreneurs a space to work, exchange ideas, and network—in close proximity to academia and in an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.

The Gelbe Like-It is an open event space on the ground floor of the building.

You are welcome to bring guests to individual events. In this case, we ask that you register briefly. 

This will help us better plan for your participation and provide you with all necessary information in a timely manner. Of course, last-minute participation is also possible.
